“ The service was great, the server was very nice, friendly, and attentive. The gumbo was out of this world, it had a really great flavor I finished every bite. The price was reasonable. Really good size portions. Also had the shrimp and grits, also really good. Finished it with the banana pudding and that was really great. Overall good experience, thank you. ”

“ This place is a must! I stumbled up on it, and Im so happy I went in. I usually dont go to Soul Food restaurants, only because I know how to cook my own great food. I spoke with one of the owners, and she assured me it was good, and she was absolutely right. I got the shrimp and grits with cornbread, so good. Its a must try ! “ Arrived right at Noon and door was locked so waitress from the bar and grill escorted myself and a few others to a hallway separating the two businesses. Myself and others sat and waited a little until someone came out and took our order. We were told that they cook every order fresh and to order and that there is a slight delay for sides because of this. I ordered the catfish combo with seasoned fries and a homemade lemonade. I also got the 10 piece NOLA wings and man the seasoning on their food is perfect. Hot fresh cooked to order is a great idea to alleviate leftovers and bad food being served to someone. Will definitely be visiting again real soon. I highly recommend this place. ”
“ The catfish was very good. It was crispy everything I was looking for to satisfy my appetite for fish that day. It was the best fish Ive had since Ive moved here in Feb. Im from the South and its hard trying to find the Southern taste of food here. The setup was neat as far as ordering your food. You order your food pay on a tablet that they have set up. The waitress was very friendly, polite, and made me feel very comfortable. I will be returning. ”
“ Were always looking for great places to eat when in the area. Decided to try Memaws and was very pleased with our choice. The food, service, and atmosphere were perfect. We actually were wrapping up with our mean right before Mr Lee and his son arrived. We had an order of lemon pepper salmon with mac n cheese green beans. The other order was smothered chicken with dirty rice fried cabbage. Very tasty and the portion size was adequate. We finished off the meal with one of those brownie hurricanes. It was supposed to be like a cake in a cupbut it was so much more yummy goodness. We will diffently be back to try other items on the menu and were so glad you still accept cash for payment. Great job Memaws Gumbo restaurant and staff!! Just an update visited the restaurant on Saturday 324. It was a great dinein experience. We has the jumbalaya, cajun shrimp, green beans, with mac n cheese. The food was once again delicious. We were also treated to some yummy hush puppies brought out by chef KB. He explained how there will be some changes to the menu in the future for us to look forward too. Although he was busy we are so grateful he was able to make time to come out. Wonderful service and food!!! ”

In about a month, they will be having a smoker set up to smoke some turkey wings, sausages and delectable meats Looking forward to the additions to an already great menu Hella bomb food for sure ”
